Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen, renowned YouTuber and investigative journalist, has released a groundbreaking exposé uncovering the murky dealings in the Counter-Strike gambling industry. His latest video highlights unethical practices, feuds among gambling site owners, and the risks posed to underage gamers. The video, released on December 18, 2024, has already garnered significant attention.

Coffeezilla’s Investigation: The Spark

Coffeezilla’s investigation began with a mysterious $20,000 bribe offered by representatives of CSGOEmpire, a prominent gambling platform, to expose a rival site, CSGORolls. Rejecting the offer, Coffeezilla launched a deeper investigation, uncovering an intense feud between Monarch, the owner of CSGOEmpire, and Killian, CSGORolls’ founder.

The Counter-Strike Gambling Ecosystem

The Counter-Strike skin economy is central to the scandal. Players trade valuable in-game items such as skins and knives, which are often gambled on third-party websites. Some rare skins are worth millions, attracting players of all ages. However, this has also led to the proliferation of unethical gambling practices targeting minors.

The Feud: Monarch vs. Killian

Monarch and Killian, former business partners turned rivals, have taken extreme measures to discredit each other. Monarch accused Killian of stealing his business and engaging in practices that exploit vulnerable users. Coffeezilla’s video revealed Monarch’s alleged tactics, such as distributing defamatory flyers and organizing protests against a partnered streamer, Grim, who earned significant revenue promoting CSGORolls.

Monarch has admitted to targeting Grim and others, allegedly coercing them to switch allegiances to CSGOEmpire. Monarch’s motivations, however, remain complex, blending personal vendettas with claims of exposing unethical gambling practices.

Underage Gambling and Exploitation

The exposé also highlights the involvement of underage gamers. In interviews, teenagers admitted to starting gambling on Counter-Strike sites as young as 13. Coffeezilla plans to release further investigations focusing on influencers and industry figures promoting these platforms.

This video marks the beginning of a Counter-Strike gambling series, where Coffeezilla intends to expose not only gambling site owners but also esports personalities and streamers complicit in these practices. His revelations aim to bring accountability to an industry rife with exploitation.

Coffeezilla’s exposé underscores the darker side of online gaming scams and unethical gambling practices. By shining a light on these issues, he challenges the gaming and esports communities to address the exploitation of underage players and foster a safer, more transparent environment.

Renowned map creator Shawn “FMPONE” Snelling has teased further updates to the T-side of the popular map Cache. This news comes as a breath of fresh air for fans eagerly awaiting the map’s return to the competitive pool.

Cache, a staple in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) map rotation, was officially removed from the map pool in early 2019 to make way for Vertigo. The reworked version of Cache was showcased at ESL One New York later that year, featuring overgrown vegetation that, while visually appealing, caused performance issues for players due to its high demand on graphics cards. This, coupled with the visual clash with several agent models, led to the map taking a backseat while others like Anubis and Ancient were promoted into the map pool.

FMPONE, who has been instrumental in creating several iconic maps, has been diligently working on the Cache remake. His recent tweet, which included images of the updated T-side, has reignited excitement among the community. The images showcase various angles, including views towards Van from T-spawn, the approach to Squeaky, and a perspective looking back from Squeaky. These updates hint at a more refined and balanced gameplay experience, addressing previous concerns while maintaining the map’s competitive integrity.

The anticipation for Cache’s return is palpable. The map’s removal in 2019 was met with mixed reactions, as it had been a favorite among players and fans alike. Its unique layout and strategic depth made it a beloved choice in both casual and professional play. The reworked version, despite its initial setbacks, holds promise for a triumphant return, especially with FMPONE’s continued dedication to refining the map.

In addition to his work on Cache, FMPONE has also been busy with other projects. His map Thera, a reimagined version of the CS:GO map Santorini, modeled on the picturesque Greek city, was recently added to the community map pool. Alongside Thera, Mills, set in a quaint yet claustrophobic Dutch village, has also made its way into the pool. These additions highlight FMPONE’s versatility and commitment to enhancing the CS:GO map landscape.

The Counter-Strike community has been vocal about their desire to see Cache back in the competitive rotation. The map’s unique challenges and opportunities for strategic play have left a lasting impression, and many believe its return could shake up the current meta. With FMPONE’s latest updates, the possibility of Cache making a comeback seems more likely than ever.

As the community eagerly awaits further news, one thing is clear: FMPONE’s dedication to his craft continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in map design. Whether it’s through the intricate details of Cache or the fresh perspectives offered by Thera and Mills, his contributions are shaping the future of Counter-Strike.

Could the finished version of Cache be on its way soon? Only time will tell, but for now, the community remains hopeful and excited for what lies ahead.

Forsaken’s Ban Expires Today https://www.talkesport.com/news/forsaken-csgo-ban-lifted-today/ https://www.talkesport.com/news/forsaken-csgo-ban-lifted-today/#respond Thu, 19 Sep 2024 17:42:35 +0000 https://www.talkesport.com/?p=92702 Forsaken's controversial past and his potential return to the competitive CSGO scene have sparked heated debates among fans. Learn more about the events that led to his ban and the implications of his comeback for the Indian esports community.

The post Forsaken’s Ban Expires Today appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
The infamous Nikhil ‘forsaken’ Kumawat is once again free to compete at Valve-sponsored events as of 19th September 2024 under the new New RMR Eligibility Guidelines published by the developers back in 2021.

It is hard to be in the Counter-Strike community and not know about the OpTic India debacle that unfolded back in eXTREMESLAND 2018 Finals. For players who are relatively new to the community, popular esports organization OpTic Gaming came to India to form an Indian roster after realizing the potential in the Indian CSGO scene. After months of trial and screening, a roster was formed with Forsaken as one of the stars.

The roster took the Indian CSGO scene by storm as they dominated every regional tournament that came their way. Heading into the eXTREMESLAND 2018 finals, several of Forsaken’s plays were deemed fishy by notable community members but the lack of solid proof kept anything from happening to him. Upon losing to FrostFire in their opening match of the tournament, OpTic India took on MVP PK. During the match against the Korean side, Forsaken was caught using cheats on LAN which caused OpTic to disband the roster and scrap the project in its entirety.

As it seemed, Forsaken would never return to professional Counter-Strike given the resentments he caused in the Indian CS community and to make things worse, Valve imposed a ban that forced organizations to distance themselves from him, not that they would have considered him anyway. In a shocking turn of events, Valve released an updated RMR Eligibility Guidelines in 2021, three years after the debacle, that would allow him to compete again and today is the day his ban gets lifted.

Forsaken cs

Forsaken was nowhere to be found after 2018 as he completely disappeared from the scene. While several rumors floated around, there remains little to no information about his latest whereabouts. His actions have pushed back the progress of the Indian esports scene but with collective efforts from the rest, it is thriving like never before.

It is unlikely that his actions would be forgiven despite Valve giving him a clean chit as of now, and if he does return to the scene, getting into a top esports org would be next to impossible for him.

Aleksib Claims CSGO Was More Responsive https://www.talkesport.com/news/csgo/csgo-more-responsive-than-cs2-aleksib/ https://www.talkesport.com/news/csgo/csgo-more-responsive-than-cs2-aleksib/#respond Fri, 06 Sep 2024 14:12:07 +0000 https://www.talkesport.com/?p=92459 Aleksib, IGL for Na`Vi, has sparked discussion among CS:GO players with his comments on the responsiveness of CS2. While CS2 boasts updated visuals, AleksiB argues it feels less responsive than CSGO.

The post Aleksib Claims CSGO Was More Responsive appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
NAVI IGL, Aleksi ‘Aleksib’ Virolainen has claimed that the latest iteration of Counter-Strike, i.e. CS2 is way less responsive in a head-to-head comparison with his predecessor.

CS2 met with tons of resentment during its launch. The community found the game riddled with bugs and optimization issues that caused it to be unplayable. CS2’s poor optimization was especially put under a microscope because of how long it took for the developers to release the game. Responsiveness was an issue highlighted by the players at the time of its release but as time passed, players got used to the difference in gameplay.

It can be argued at this point CSGO was a better game than what CS2 is right now. The plethora of issues that still plague the game and the poor mechanics that ruin the experience at times. The improvement in-game visuals isn’t enough to make up for the unsatisfying gameplay. Aleksib has joined the long list of professional players who voiced their concerns over the poor performance of CS2.

“Go to CSGO and just kill the bot, it will make you cry, how responsive the game was,” said Aleksib.

CSGO in its later days was built on tons and tons of updates and even though CS2 has received a ton of them by now, issues seem to persist. What Aleksib pointed out was an issue of perceived performance which is generally categorized under subjective issues. Not all players might find the game too slow when comparing it to CSGO but some players definitely do. This has more to do with the mechanics of the game rather than any bugs or optimization issues so fixing it might not be as straightforward.

This victory marks their first major CS2 trophy.

The post G2 Wins IEM Dallas 2024 appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
G2 completed their fairytale run at Dallas to clinch the IEM trophy off the back of an unreal victory over Team Vitality who were the best team coming into the tournament. With NiKo as IGL and rusty Stewie as a stand-in, G2 did it against the very best to win IEM Dallas.

VETO:

  • G2 removed Vertigo
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • G2 picked Inferno
  • Vitality picked Anubis
  • G2 removed Mirage
  • Vitality removed Dust2
  • Nuke was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: G2; Winner: G2

G2 started strong with a pistol round victory and quickly converted the following 2 rounds before Vitality got on the board. The two teams traded rounds for a while before closing out the first half with a narrow 7-5 lead for G2.

In their offense, Vitality managed to find cracks in the G2 defense and seemed to be running away with the map before G2 put a few rounds together and pushed it over the line to an Overtime.

In the overtime, G2 had their individuals step up. huNter, NiKo, nexa, and m0nesy all had individual rounds that kept Vitality at bay, barely managing to keep them from winning the map. Despite being a well-drilled side, G2’s individual-inspired approach took them over the line by winning the map in the second OT with a scoreline of 19-16.

Map 2: Anubis; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

G2 is a team that has struggled to see success on this map while Vitality is one of the best teams to play Anubis. The difference in quality was readily apparent right from the get-go as G2 struggled to put together more than two rounds in a row. Despite being underprepared, that too with a stand-in, G2 managed to clinch 5 rounds before switching to their defense.

While Vitality seemed to be running away with the map, G2 kept bleeding rounds till finding themselves at a 12-5 deficit upon which they changed gears, boasting a more proactive CT side which led to them running it back and pushing it to OT off the back of moments of individual brilliance.

Once it was OT, Vitality did not look nearly as fazed as they were after losing 7 rounds in a row. G2’s string of rounds came to an end with Vitality letting only a single round slip, losing out on the map with a 16-13 scoreline.

Map 3: Nuke; Pick: Decider; Winner: G2

G2 kicked off the decider with a pistol round win which they capitalized on by winning 2 more rounds before Vitality put up a string of 6 rounds that saw them clinch a 6-3 round lead that got brushed off as G2 brought home the final two rounds of the half.

G2’s defence started as strong as it could have picking up 5 rounds in a row before Vitality managed to get two rounds but that’s all G2 let them have before closing out the map and the tournament with a 2-1 scoreline.

m0NESY bags his first HLTV and MVP in CS2 at IEM Dallas 2024 establishing himself as the best player in the world with a rating of 1.35.

In a remarkable achievement for such a young player, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has been awarded the prestigious “10 Year Veteran” coin in Counter Strike 2. This honor is bestowed upon players who have been part of the Counter-Strike community for over a decade, signifying their long-term dedication and passion for the game.

To qualify for this accolade, a player must not only have a Counter-Strike series game in their possession for ten years but also must have played it at least once and maintained an account in good standing, free from bans or sanctions. Given m0NESY’s age of 18, this means he started playing Counter-Strike at an incredibly young age and quickly rose through the ranks to achieve Global Elite status by the time he was just 10 years old.

m0NESY’s journey in professional Counter-Strike has been nothing short of meteoric. After joining G2 Esports at the start of 2022, he has been compared to legendary players like Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. His skill and dedication have been evident in his gameplay, with over 19,900 hours logged on Counter-Strike servers by the age of 18. His efforts culminated in G2 Esports winning their first S-tier tournament of the season at the BLAST Premier: World Final, where m0NESY played a pivotal role.

The young Russian prodigy has not only made a name for himself with his in-game prowess but also with his accolades, being ranked as the 4th best player of 2023 by HLTV and receiving the Rookie of the Year 2022 award. As of 2024, m0NESY continues to excel, standing as the second-highest-rated player in the game.

The “10 Year Veteran” coin is a testament to m0NESY’s enduring commitment to Counter-Strike, a journey that began in childhood and has already taken him to the pinnacle of competitive play. It’s a milestone that reflects both his personal dedication and the bright future that lies ahead for this young esports star.

Counter Strike 2 (CS2) Now Lets You RENT Skins https://www.talkesport.com/news/cs2-skin-rentals-guide/ Fri, 24 May 2024 03:55:36 +0000 https://www.talkesport.com/?p=86766 Counter-Strike 2 introduces skin rentals! Discover how to rent weapon skins using the Kilowatt case, explore the benefits and limitations, and elevate your CS2 style.

The post Counter Strike 2 (CS2) Now Lets You RENT Skins appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
Counter-Strike fans have something new to look forward to with the latest update to Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The game has introduced a novel feature that allows players to rent skins, adding a fresh dynamic to the customization of in-game weapons.

Renting Skins in CS2

The most recent update to CS2 has brought about the introduction of skin rentals. This means that players now have the option to temporarily acquire skins for their weapons, providing a new way to experience different aesthetics without committing to a permanent purchase.

How Skin Rentals Work In Counter Strike 2 (CS2)?

Players interested in renting skins can do so through the Kilowatt case system. When a player opens a Kilowatt case with a key, they are presented with the opportunity to rent the entire collection of skins contained within for a period of one week. This system allows players to experiment with various skins and enjoy the visual variety that they offer.

Conditions of Skin Rentals

While renting skins, players have the freedom to use the weapon skins in-game for the duration of the rental period. However, it’s important to note that these rented skins cannot be personalized with stickers or nametags during the rental period. This limitation ensures that the skins remain in their original state for future renters.

The introduction of skin rentals in CS2 is a significant update that provides players with more flexibility in how they customize their gaming experience. By allowing players to rent an entire collection of skins for a short period, CS2 is catering to those who wish to explore different weapon appearances without the need for a long-term investment. However, the inability to modify rented skins with stickers or nametags ensures that the integrity of the skins is maintained for all users. This update is sure to add an exciting new layer to the game’s strategy and personal expression.

Valve has just shipped a major update to Counter-Strike 2, and it introduces several interesting changes to the competitive shooter.

Firstly, the new CS2 update aims to improve the CT-side economy by reducing the prices of the M4A4 and the Incendiary Grenade. The price of the M4A4 has been adjusted from $3100 to $3000, while the Incendiary Grenade has also seen a price reduction of $100, bringing it down from $600 to $500.

In addition to the price reduction, the Incendiary Grenade has been given a visual makeover by Valve, and it features new effects for its explosion and flames. Additionally, its spread and duration have been reduced, which makes it significantly weaker than its T-side alternative, the Molotov, which is available for just $400.

CS2 Players Can Now Rent Kilowatt Case Skins

Alongside the gameplay changes, the May 23rd CS2 update enables players to rent out all the skins from the Kilowatt Case, which is the latest case to be introduced to the game.

As per the official statement from Valve, “When you open a Kilowatt case with a key, you’ll be given the option to rent the whole collection for a week.”

This implies that players will have the option to spend a case and a key to receive all the contents of the case for a week. However, players won’t be given the knives featured in the Kilowatt case if they choose to rent it.

Skin rentals will allow players to use the weapon skins freely for a week, but they cannot be modified with stickers or nametags.

In a stunning turn of events, the eSports community was rocked by the revelation that Dmytro “Wonderful_Y” Horkusha, a prominent player on the FACEIT platform, has been slapped with a two-year ban for cheating. The ban came just a day after Martin “STYKO” Styk’s ominous video surfaced, hinting at undisclosed truths within the competitive gaming scene. The timing couldn’t have been more uncanny, as FACEIT had just rolled out its latest anti-cheat update.

What makes this situation even more damning is Horkusha’s brief stint as a teammate to Alvar “consss” Rämman, who himself faced cheating allegations resulting in a ban from the European Pro League 2nd Division Season 9. The ripple effect of these scandals was felt deeply, leading to the dissolution of the player agency’s academy project.

Attempting to salvage his reputation, Horkusha attempted to downplay the allegations by citing the infamous sv_cheats bug. This bug, albeit briefly, allowed for cheat-protected commands to be enabled through the console on public servers. Drawing parallels to past incidents, he sought to deflect blame, mirroring the defense strategy employed by consss.

However, his attempts at redemption were swiftly thwarted when a FACEIT representative refuted his claims, stating unequivocally that all players caught exploiting the sv_cheats bug had been promptly banned. This revelation cast doubt on Horkusha’s credibility, leaving his final statement about leaving the gaming scene even more poignant in retrospect.

The fallout from this scandal has ignited fierce debates within the eSports community, with opinions sharply divided. Some advocate for leniency, citing the pressure and competitiveness inherent in professional gaming, while others demand stricter consequences to uphold the integrity of the sport.

As the dust settles, one thing remains clear: the repercussions of cheating in eSports extend far beyond individual players, serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle to maintain fairness and sportsmanship in competitive gaming.

Cloud9, a prominent name in esports, has made waves with its recent decision to bench Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy and Abay “HObbit” Khassenov from its CS2 roster. This move comes amidst a series of changes within the organization, signaling a significant shift in their competitive strategy.

This decision marks a pivotal moment for Cloud9, as they aim to revitalize their performance following a series of underwhelming results. Alongside the benching of Perfecto and HObbit, the team has also bid farewell to their assistant coach, Ivan “F_1N” Kochugov.

The departure of Perfecto and HObbit leaves Cloud9 with just two active players: Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov and Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov. Despite the reduction in active members, Cloud9’s CEO, Jack Etienne, affirmed the organization’s commitment to rebuilding the team. In a recent tweet, Etienne stated, “We are in a full rebuilding process in collaboration with Ax1Le and Boombl4.”

The decision to shake up their roster comes on the heels of a challenging period for Cloud9 in 2024. The team’s performance has been marred by setbacks, including a notable absence of results following their unorthodox no-AWPer approach earlier in the year. Despite qualifying for the Major, Cloud9 faltered in the playoffs, leading to their early exit.

HObbit, who joined Cloud9 in April 2022, played a pivotal role during his tenure, contributing to the team’s success, including a victory at IEM Dallas. However, the recent downturn in performance prompted Cloud9 to reevaluate their lineup strategy.

Similarly, Perfecto’s signing in July 2023 was part of Cloud9’s ambitious plans to assemble a super team. Despite maintaining a commendable rating amidst turbulent times for the team, Perfecto’s performance fell short of expectations, ultimately leading to his benching.

Looking ahead, Cloud9 faces the challenge of regaining their competitive edge with a revamped roster. With the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade tournament looming on the horizon, Cloud9 has limited time to integrate new talent and refine their gameplay.

The current lineup for Cloud9 is as follows:

  • Russia Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov
  • Russia Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov
  • Russia Konstantin “groove” Pikiner (coach)
  • Kazakhstan Abay “HObbit” Khassenov (benched)
  • Russia Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy (benched)

As Cloud9 navigates this transitional phase, all eyes will be on their performance in upcoming tournaments as they strive to reclaim their position among the CS2 elite.
