This announcement marks a significant update for CS2 enthusiasts, as the Rising Circuit replaces the older Showdown format with a more structured path for emerging teams worldwide.

  3. Final Stage – The four winners from the Closed Qualifiers join the four directly invited teams to compete in the BLAST Rising Finals.

Schedule for Season One

Here’s the schedule for the first season of the Rising Circuit:

Path to BLAST Open

Heroic has officially announced the departure of Guy “NertZ” Iluz after a year with the team. The Israeli rifler, known for his strong gameplay, is expected to join Liquid as a replacement for Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis.

This move marks another major shift for Heroic, as NertZ becomes the fourth player to leave the 2024 roster. Earlier in January, Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, Abdul “degster” Gasanov, and René “TeSeS” Madsen transitioned to Falcons, leaving Heroic’s lineup in flux.

Adding to the uncertainty, Rasmus “sjuush” Beck is also rumored to join Ninjas in Pyjamas, leaving Heroic with only their coach, Eetu “sAw” Saha, who hinted at a complete rebuild for the organization.

Despite these changes, NertZ leaves behind an impressive legacy. With a 1.14 average rating, he narrowly missed a spot in the Top 20 CS2 players of the year. His final appearance in Heroic’s jersey was at the Shanghai Major, where the team narrowly lost to G2 in the quarter-finals.

As Heroic prepares for another rebuilding phase, fans will eagerly watch how NertZ performs in Liquid and whether Heroic can reclaim its position among the top contenders in esports.

The post Valorant Tejo Agent Abilities: Full Details appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
Valorant has introduced a brand-new agent, Tejo, who promises to change the dynamics of tactical gameplay with explosive abilities. Set to launch with Valorant’s Season 2025 Act I on January 8, 2024, Tejo is already generating buzz among players for his aggressive skillset and strategic versatility.

Who is Tejo in Valorant?

Tejo is a Colombian intelligence operative with a background as a military veteran. His name references a traditional Colombian game involving explosives, hinting at his destructive playstyle. Known for his calm and collected demeanor, Tejo sports a stylish look with a yellow jacket, sunglasses, and an edgy attitude.

His teaser video shows him sipping Colombian coffee before springing into action, establishing his composed yet deadly persona.

Tejo’s Role and Playstyle in Valorant

Tejo is rumored to be an Initiator, designed to help teammates secure map control by revealing enemy positions and forcing opponents out of defensive setups. However, his aggressive abilities might also suit a Duelist role, making him highly versatile.

Key Features of Tejo’s Playstyle:

  • Aggressive Initiator – Focused on gathering intel while pushing enemies into unfavorable positions.
  • Versatile Toolkit – Combines recon and explosive damage for dual-purpose tactics.
  • Team-Oriented – Works seamlessly in group strategies but can also handle solo engagements.

Valorant Tejo’s Abilities – Full List

Tejo’s kit is tailored for both reconnaissance and offense, making him an impactful addition to any team.

  1. Stealth Drone – Deploys a drone to reveal enemy positions and suppress their abilities, offering an edge in duels.
  2. Sticky Grenade – Throws grenades that stick to surfaces, ideal for controlling chokepoints or forcing enemy movements.
  3. Guided Salvo – Fires homing missiles to clear spaces or initiate direct attacks, disrupting enemy formations.
  4. Tactical Strike – Launches a powerful strike to disorient enemies, perfect for taking map control during critical moments.

Each ability in Tejo’s arsenal encourages proactive gameplay, allowing players to pressure opponents while staying on the offensive.

Strategies and Counters Against Tejo

Tejo’s aggressive style makes him a dominant force, but some agents can counter his abilities effectively:

  • High-Mobility Agents (Jett, Raze, Omen) – Can quickly evade his guided explosives.
  • Healing Agents (Sage, Reyna, Phoenix) – Recover from his attacks and sustain prolonged fights.
  • Defensive Agents (Vyse) – Block Tejo’s utility with walls and barriers to disrupt his approach.

To counter Tejo, players should focus on dodging his abilities, denying information, and wasting his resources through unpredictable positioning.

What Tejo Brings to the Valorant Meta

Tejo’s introduction will likely shift the Valorant meta toward faster, information-driven engagements. His drone and missile abilities complement existing strategies while introducing new ways to control sites. Players can expect intense matches where positioning and timing are more critical than ever.

Markus “Notch” Persson, the creator of Minecraft, recently hinted at a potential sequel to the legendary game through social media. While not officially titled “Minecraft 2,” Notch described it as a spiritual successor to the original, sparking excitement among fans.

Notch Announces Minecraft 2 – A New Chapter?

Notch’s revelation comes nearly 15 years after the original Minecraft’s release in 2009. The game, initially developed in just a few days, became a cultural phenomenon and is now valued at billions of dollars. Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, fans have long speculated about a sequel.

In a series of social media posts, Notch mentioned his renewed interest in game development. He stated:

“I basically announced Minecraft 2. I thought that maybe people ACTUALLY do want me to make another game that’s super similar to the first one.”

While he admitted uncertainty about whether the project would come to fruition, Notch emphasized his enthusiasm for working on a new game.

Notch explained that he envisions this new project as a spiritual successor rather than a direct sequel. He even invited feedback through polls, suggesting that community interest could shape the game’s development.

“I’m genuinely loving having fun working on a game in an office and would love to give it a shot.”

Valve has officially confirmed the expansion of Counter-Strike 2 Majors to 32 teams, starting with the BLAST.tv Austin Major. This update comes with significant changes, including the introduction of a third Swiss stage to accommodate the larger pool of teams.

Longer Tournament Duration

With the addition of this new stage, CS Majors will now run approximately four days longer than before. The expanded format ensures a more competitive platform, providing ample opportunities for teams to advance.

New Regional Qualifiers (MRQ)

Replacing the previous RMR system, Valve introduced Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQ) to determine team eligibility. Key details include:

  • Americas and Europe will have 16 teams each in their MRQs.
  • Asia will have 8 teams in its MRQ.
  • MRQs may be conducted online, with regions split into sub-regions to minimize ping differences.

Qualification Process and Slots

From the MRQs:

  • 6 teams each from Americas and Europe, and 4 teams from Asia will qualify for Stage 1.
  • Stage 2 will feature 8 directly invited teams, joined by 8 teams advancing from Stage 1.

Further, regions earn direct invites based on past performance. For example, Europe secured 6 Stage 3 slots due to strong performances in previous tournaments, while Americas and Asia earned 1 slot each.

VRS Rankings-Based Slot Distribution

For the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, slot allocation will follow the VRS rankings:

  • Europe: Top 6 teams to Stage 3, 4 teams to Stage 2, and 16 teams to MRQ.
  • Americas: Top 1 team to Stage 3, 4 teams to Stage 2, and 16 teams to MRQ.
  • Asia: Top 1 team to Stage 3, none to Stage 2, and 8 teams to MRQ.

This format overhaul aims to enhance competitiveness, fairness, and global representation in CS Majors. The BLAST.tv Austin Major will mark the debut of this expanded format, promising intense action and thrilling matches for Counter-Strike fans worldwide.

How to Surrender in Marvel Rivals – Step-by-Step Guide https://www.talkesport.com/marvel-rivals/how-to-surrender-in-marvel-rivals-step-by-step-guide/ Sat, 04 Jan 2025 06:35:45 +0000 https://www.talkesport.com/?p=100121 Need to end a match early in Marvel Rivals? Learn how the surrender feature works and the rules for Competitive Play.

The post How to Surrender in Marvel Rivals – Step-by-Step Guide appeared first on TalkEsport.

]]>
Sometimes, matches in Marvel Rivals just don’t go as planned. Your team composition might be flawed, a teammate may leave mid-match, or certain players might struggle to keep up. In such cases, it’s better to move on rather than drag out a losing battle. Thankfully, Marvel Rivals offers a surrender feature to end such matches early.

Introduced in late 2024, the surrender option has quickly become a useful addition to Competitive Play. Instead of wasting time in unwinnable matches, players can now vote to surrender and start looking for another game. However, this feature comes with a few rules and restrictions, which are explained below.

When Can You Surrender in Marvel Rivals?

The surrender feature is only available in Competitive Play. Unfortunately, it cannot be used in Quick Play matches, meaning you’ll have to endure the game until it ends naturally in those modes.

Also Read: Marvel Rivals False Ban Issue Resolved

In Competitive Play, the surrender process works through a voting system. To successfully surrender, a majority vote is required from your team. Typically, this means at least four players must agree to surrender for the vote to pass. If the vote fails, the match continues as usual.

How to Use the Surrender Option in Marvel Rivals

To initiate a surrender vote, follow these steps:

  1. Pause the Game: Press the pause button during the match.
  2. Select the Surrender Option: From the drop-down menu, click on the “Surrender” button.
  3. Wait for the Vote Prompt: A vote prompt will appear on your teammates’ screens.
  4. Vote to Accept or Reject: Teammates can either accept or reject the vote, determining whether the match ends or continues.

Rules and Restrictions for Surrendering

There are a few conditions you need to keep in mind when using the surrender option in Marvel Rivals:

  1. Timing: You can only call for a surrender vote after the first round of the match is completed.
  2. Vote Limit Per Round: Each player can initiate one vote per round after the first round. This means up to six votes per round if every player calls for a surrender.
  3. New Round, New Vote: Players who used their vote in the previous round can request another surrender vote once a new round begins.

When Should You Surrender?

Surrendering has its pros and cons. It’s a great option when the match seems unwinnable, such as when a teammate disconnects, goes inactive, or deliberately disrupts the gameplay. In such cases, ending the match quickly can save time and reduce frustration.

However, surrendering can sometimes mean giving up too soon. Matches in Marvel Rivals can turn around quickly, and an early surrender vote may lead to missing out on a potential comeback. Therefore, it’s crucial to assess the situation carefully before calling for a vote.

The surrender feature in Marvel Rivals adds flexibility and saves time during hopeless matches. By understanding the rules and using this tool wisely, players can make the most of their Competitive Play experience. However, knowing when to surrender and when to fight is the key to improving your overall performance.
